THE ALL-MUSICAL INSPIRATION BEHIND THE TRAME LINE
Trame was born from the Acqua delle Langhe collection, and you may already know that... but the great thing is that inspiration never happens by chance, and for this new line of fabric products, we delved into everything related to Piedmontese musical culture.
LET'S START AT THE BEGINNING
We translated Piedmont's classic taste into the fragrances of the new Piedmont brand: a line designed exclusively for laundry, starting with refreshing fabrics.
Whether it's curtains, sofas, sheets, or jackets and coats, the odor-neutralizing enzyme in Trame fragrances can be very useful when washing is not something that can be done every day.
A BREATH OF FRESHNESS WITH THE SCENT OF SWING AND LICORICE
The inspiration for our fabric fragrance was a very intriguing song by Fred Buscaglione: an eclectic character with broad musical horizons, who grew up in the 1930s and remained active until the 1960s, Fred Buscaglione made light music and swing his path to success.
He died prematurely in a car accident, but Fred Buscaglione made history with his stage-animal personality and musical intuition.
UNMISTAKABLE STYLE and a little risqué
Our fragrance dedicated to Fred drove you wild, precisely because it dared greatly with all its vintage Piedmontese character.
Sophisticated is just that, a song released way back in 1959, captivating and subtle; we dedicate the fabric fragrance we created under the same name to the most “evolved” noses with the most discerning tastes.
A MUSICAL HISTORY DEEP DIVE
(source: Wikipedia)
He was still a teenager when he began performing in the city's nightclubs as a jazz singer and multi-instrumentalist: he was able to play several instruments, from double bass to violin, and from piano to trumpet.
One day, during a performance at the Gran Caffè Ligure, he was noticed by a law student and passionate reader of detective novels, and an artistic partnership was born that lasted until Fred's death.
During the Second World War he was called up and stationed in Sardinia, where he distinguished himself by organizing shows for the troops. He was taken prisoner by the Americans and was contacted by brothers Franco and Betto Pisano, with whom he had formed the Aster Quintet in Cagliari. This allowed him to continue making music and experimenting with new sounds and new Made in USA rhythms.
After the war ended, Buscaglione returned to Turin and began playing again in various orchestras; in 1946, he made his recording debut.
By the end of the 1950s, Buscaglione was one of the most sought-after entertainers, and not only as a singer. He was everywhere: in advertisements, on television, and in films, first with brief singing appearances, then in independent roles, almost always playing the character of the likeable braggart. At the height of his success, he lived in a small apartment building opposite the Mole Antonelliana, in the heart of Turin.
His story ended suddenly and tragically one night in early February 1960 in Rome, after a show and the inevitable party with the era's most fashionable artists.
